It’s the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers and today is the Festival of Food & Wine and we’re taking you there! We promise you an amazing day of flowers, music, atmosphere and sampling of the local produce (from wine, gin, beer and cheese) and of course the epic vibes of Toowoomba! Your ticket includes entry to the Food & Wine Festival (valued at $75) and this includes countless tastings. But don’t worry, we’ll be around to make sure you get home safe. But only after we’ve seen headline act Thirsty Merc!
To begin the day, we’re off to see the flowers at Laurel Bank Park. It’s amazing the amount of planning and care that goes into these flower beds and the formations they design will blow your mind. And of course the colours are incredible. Be sure to bring your best camera and floral dress for this occasion!
After an hour or so at Laurel Bank we’ll head to the other famed park for this time of year, Queens Park, which is also right next to the farmers markets. You’ll have the choice between strolling the markets or wondering the flowered gardens, but don’t take too long as the Festival of Food & Wine is set to begin! This is also in Queens Park a short walk away.
Once we’re in to the Festival of Food & Wine, some key times to remember are:
Beer appreciation: 12:15
Distillery Tastings: 12:45
Cheese Tastings: 1:15
Wine Tastings: 1:45

Thirsty Merc is on from 6:45 to 8:00pm so we’ll have to see them before heading back to Brisbane to arrive back at Roma St around 9:30pm.
