‘Nosferatu, Grandad Jacks and Bavay, ‘ – this may sound like a Transylvanian family reunion, but they are in fact 3 impeccable gin distilleries belonging to this blossoming city of ours. If you haven’t heard of them, we’ll forgive you, as two are less than two years old; which in part reflects the current trendiness of gin. Don’t worry that you know don’t where they are, we’ll take you to Transylvania and back in our private airconditioned mini van which we’ll meet you in at Roma St.

First we take you to Bavay Distillery, on bank of the river at Morningside. What a gem of a spot for an education on gin, led by their esteemed distillers George and Jake. Now no gin education would be complete without indulging all the senses, so here you’ll be greeted with a welcome drink and a tasting flight at the end of the tour. Leaving time will be a test of your will power not to buy one of their oh-so-cute gin bottles; which would make a for an amazing present provided you don’t one night open it yourself:D

For the next stop it’s Nosferatu Distillery in Bowen Hills which is fast making a name for itself across Brisbane. We’ve seen a few venues now offering their famous Pavlova Gin and at Nosferatu we’ll have few shared cheese boards to enjoy as well as a dinner party flight of gins with tonic or soda as chosen.

The final stop is the Grand-daddy of them all, with an unparalleled reputation on Google and the gin-stained lips of gin enjoyers everywhere, Grandad Jacks (4.9 stars from 191 reviews). At Granddad Jacks we’ll let the gin do the talking buying some bottles for the group where you’ll be able sit back and relax to cap off what will be an incredible journey through the gin world of Brisbane.
